...This is the back valley at the end of the climb. I made this photo from 3 different photos. I think this is a really beautiful place and I am so curious to go and see the valley!

...This is the rock image of something... I really never understood what it was. I think it is two of what ever it is... two turkeys or two men or two dragons... something. Although it appears to be a rock formation, I was, and am, convinced it represents something other than that. Next visit I will discover what it really is.

...The boys preparing an assault strategy They seem to be distracted by something... perhaps reverie... perhaps a pretty girl taking a shower... perhaps remembering something they forgot... or perhaps I am full of bull and am projecting my own likely distractions onto their expressions.

... Eyal in the lead!!... certainly a very fit person. He is a diligent TaiJi student and leads a wholesome life style there in Yangshuo...

...There is a mythical Chinese creature that the mountain we are climbing is named after. Actually, we discovered that it wasn't so mythical and that in fact, it was climbing up Eyal s leg!

...Lily of the valley... being graced by the gifted Taiji instructor, Mei. She is a local by default... been living in Yangshuo for 18 years, and has been instructing Taiji for most of them.

...Our leader! This is the land lord of the place where we launched from. A grand individual and a good hearted man. Without him, we would have made it!

...and then... yours truly...appropriately out of focus... ruddy and looking better from a distance. Still, it felt good to charge the mountain. There are so few things left to battle in this world, so the mountain felt good, and in concert with gravity, kicked my butt all the way back to the shower! Whew...........
